The Road to Health Care Reform Begins.....

This was a step towards action.  To do nothing was not an option.  I've seen the slow erosion of my coverage over these past few years. My daughter needs insulin to live and over the last two years I have been subject to legal extortion from Blue Care Network who feel my $450 a month premium isn't enough to cover their cost on insulin and still make the yearly bonuses for their employees. So I must pay additional money in the form of a co-pay. The system is sick with greed and its time put a stop to it. Without reform people would die for no other reason than they couldn't pay the toll set by the insurance and pharmaceutical companies. This is just a start. It's not perfect, but it's a start. I don't understand - people have no problems with the government saving and taking over auto companies and banking concerns, but they lose it completely when government has to step in to put a check on greedhead corporations playing with people's very lives.

Health should not be a 'For Profit' enterprise. Most countries have come that realization long ago.

Congrats on having a progressive president and finally a Congress willing to do what it took to effect change.

Now that this hurdle has been passed, the remaining reforms will be much easier to achieve.
